Man Crush Monday - Book Boyfriend of the Month (January 2022)

A few months back, I did a segment every month on who my favorite book boyfriend of the month was based off of the books I read the previous month. I got away from doing it but wanted to bring it back and thought it'd be interesting if I tied it in with Man Crush Monday.

So, introducing...Man Crush Monday: Book Boyfriend of the Month!

This month, my Book Boyfriend of the Month is: Roan Darlington of Tracy Sumner's The Scandalous Vixen. Right now, I am obsessed with regency and Victorian romance and when I read The Scandalous Vixen, I instantly fell in love with the story and the hero!

(You can click here to read my detailed review.)

I love a man that knows who he wants, and no one else will suffice. Roan has been in love with Helena since he saw her on the shoreline as a boy. When he finally gets the courage to approach her, he blunders their meeting and it sparks a ten year feud with Helena. Helena's hatred of him doesn't stop Roan from trying to apologize. When he learns that Helena has become guardian to her half-sister, Theodosia, he offers them rooms at his winter cottage where Theodosia can receive training on how to be a proper lady before the ton. It also provides Roan with the opportunity to be closer to Helena, and their chemistry spark turns into an inferno.

I loved how protective he was of Helena. I loved that he stood up for her in the ton, even when Helena didn't want him to and it landed him into trouble with the ton.

I also loved that he doesn't idolize his duke status; he could care less about what the ton thinks of him, and he wants to marry for love, not status or money.

If you had to pick a Book Boyfriend of the Month out of the books you read in January 2022, who would you pick?

Honorable mentions/book boyfriends who almost made the cut this month:
- Niko from Saving What's Mine
- Dalton from First Impressions
- Luis from Feel the Fire
