Where it all began…
Maryann Morgan was starting to think she might be picky.
After one too many less than stellar dates, it was becoming obvious that her standards might be set a little too high.
All she wanted was someone interesting. Someone exciting. Smart. Kind. Respectful.
Good-looking wouldn’t hurt.
That couldn’t possibly be too much to ask.
Unfortunately, the only man to light her skirt on fire was a cowboy that was only in town for the weekend.
Billy Pace was everything she’d been searching for.
Maybe a little more.
But the only way they could work was if he decided to settle down and leave the rodeo behind.
And that might be too much to ask.
Cowboy Seeking City Girl is the prequel novella to the Cowboys of Moss Creek series.
MY REVIEW:
If you’ve read any of the Cowboys of Moss Creek series, you’ve become familiar with the Pace brothers, and their parents (Maryann and Billy). We gotten enough of a peek into their Maryann and Billy’s life that readers started asking if we were going to get to see their love story unfold and Janice does exactly that with Cowboy Seeking a City Girl. Sent to her newsletter subscribers through her newsletter on Christmas Day, it was an excellent surprise to wake up to!
I absolutely loved Maryann and Billy’s love story! The attraction between Maryann and Billy is immediately felt upon their meeting, and I swear I got goosebumps when Billy first spoke to Maryann! The chemistry between the two is a delicious simmer that lasts throughout the whole book, and it felt so natural I didn’t want to stop reading! I loved how easy-going their conversations were, and how they wanted to spend as much time as they could together. This story isn’t as steamy as the other books in this series, but I thought it was the right amount of steam for this story!
If you like cowboy romances, heroes that participate in the rodeo, and heroines who go after what they want instead of what society tells them to go for, and/or have read the Cowboys of Moss Creek series and want to know how Maryann and Billy fell in love, then this is the book for you!
