This month's book boyfriend of the month is Brooks Pace from Janice Whiteaker's Cowboy Classifieds series! His book, Cowboy Seeking a Wedding Date, released on Friday, June 25th and I could not put this book down! This story made me fall so hard for Brooks Pace I think he might have ruined me for ever finding a real life boyfriend because I will always be looking for someone like Brooks. I loved that he was patient with and took care of Nora at the same time. I loved when he realized that Nora was not only taking of him too but also implementing his ideas and designs into her blueprints for a house that they were remodeling. The cover of the book is actually a stock photo and since stock photo models are usually nameless, Janice used Chase Rice as the muse for Brooks' character and the man is gorgeous! For those that don't know, Chase Rice is a country music singer who wrote hit songs like "Cruise" (with Florida Georgia Line) and "Eyes on You". Check him out on Spotify if you haven't already listened to his music. You can view more pictures of him on his Instagram and he even has a TikTok!
If you haven't read this book yet and you're intrigued by the muse, my review and/or this post but need a little more convincing, the synopsis on Amazon reads:
Nora Levitt is at a crossroads.
After a messy breakup that left her with no home and no friends, the prospect of taking some time far away to regroup seemed appealing.
That was until she saw exactly what awaited her in Moss Creek, Montana.
Nothing. Nothing awaited her.
The place is just fields and pastures.
And cowboys. Lots and lots of cowboys.
Which would be great if she was looking for a cowboy.
And she’s not.
Except the way one particular cowboy says yes, ma’am sends a shiver down her spine.
****
Brooks Pace wasn’t looking to be tied down.
But that was before a certain city girl showed up and made him think being tied to her wouldn’t be such a bad idea.
Only problem is, Nora and country life do not appear to go hand in hand.
She’s only planning to be in town until her job is over, then the interior decorator intends to scoot her sweet ass back to the city.
Which means he’s got to make it clear there’s only one place she needs to be.
With him.
