Saving Vienna is probably my favorite story from Vikki Jay so far. I absolutely loved Vienna and Zane! I think out of this whole series, their story is the one that broke me the most.
If you’ve read the series from the beginning, you know Zander, Zach and Zane did not have a great upbringing. Their stepfather was abusive and the boys paid the price. Zane ends up with a speech impediment, which he views as a curse, and he avoids romantic entanglements (and social gatherings) because of it.
Vienna is a barista with a love of food design. She’s always making or coming up with creations for the drinks that she serves and the food that she prepares! She meets Zane after a medical emergency and Zane decides to become her emergency contact and later offers to marry her so that her medical bills would be covered.
As you can tell from the above, Zane is also a helper. He goes out of his way to help anyone in need and he doesn’t ask for anything in return. Frankly, he doesn’t think their relationship will go any further than saying “I do” on their wedding day.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a romance novel if things didn’t go the way they planned, and what follows.is…SIGH…just read the book! You’ll thank me later!
If you are an animal lover, particularly dogs, you’ll love this book as Zane and Vienna both are dog owners.
If you love small town romance, you’ll love this story as this whole series is based in fictional small town of Cherrywood.
This is definitely a slow burn. The chemistry didn’t really click, at least for me, until about a third of the way through the book, but I fell hard and fast for Zane and Vienna!
Vienna’s bucket/sex list. Vienna is a tigress in the bedroom once she and Zane start having sex. It was funny to not only see Zach out of his element, but also be so turned on by her and the list!
