BLURB:

How far will one man go to save the life of a stranger? More importantly to Caroline, will he do it twice?

Matthew "Wolf" Steel hated flying commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn't have to do it very often. He'd been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as they flew 36,000 feet over the countryside.

When Caroline boarded the plane to Virginia to move across the country for her new job she never expected to be seated next to the hottest guy she'd ever seen. She also never expected he'd be so easy to talk to. She knew he'd never be interested in talking to her if he hadn't been trapped in the seat next to her, but it was a nice way to spend a long plane ride.

Neither Wolf nor Caroline were prepared for a terrorist hijacking of their plane, but if Caroline thought that would be the last time she'd see, or need, Wolf, she'd be sorely mistaken.

**Protecting Caroline is the 1st book in the SEAL of Protection Series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it's recommended you read the books in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the series.

Wolf didn’t think, but reached over and took her hand in his. “You’re not a geek sweetheart; you’re a scholar in a lab coat who does magic with her hands.”

MY REVIEW:

I finally read my first Susan Stoker book and boy was I in for a ride! Fast paced, non-stop action and a really enjoyable love story between Matt and Caroline kept me from putting this book down.

Matt (aka “Wolf”) and his team of SEALs have finished up their latest mission and have a well deserved break before heading off to their next one. When Matt meets Caroline on his flight from Cali to Norfolk, he’s intrigued by her; especially since she’s not like the other women that he knows. It isn’t long before Matt and Caroline face their first hurdle as their plane is hijacked by terrorists. Matt and Caroline, along with some of Matt’s teammates, work together to subdue the terrorists.

When the terrorists target Caroline, will Matt and his team have what it takes to save her in time?

As I said, I really enjoyed Matt and Caroline’s story. Caroline was a badass in this! At times, I found her stubborn because I just wanted her to realize that she and Matt were meant for each other. But how she defended Matt and his team, even when her life was threatened was really inspiring!

Susan included the first three chapters of Protecting Alabama. I am interested in reading how Christopher (aka Abe) and Alabama’s story pans out, especially as Alabama works with Abe’s ex.

TRIGGER: Some scenes of torture.
STEAM: Matt and Caroline have loads of chemistry, some passionate kisses, but no love scenes.
