Hi everyone! I’m coming at you today with another Monday Musings post! I am officially five days out from getting the keys to my apartment!! Eek!! I am so excited and also nervous/anxious/terrified! I am 37 years old and this is the first time I’ll be living on my own!! Grant it, I’ll only be 10-15 minutes away from family so I won’t be completely on my own, but it will allow me the chance to live independently. I just hope I don’t burn down the kitchen! LOL
I do need to focus on packing. The days have flown by and I’ve procrastinated. I’ve bought a ton of stuff (furniture, cookware, glassware, etc.) so that’s all ready to go, but I have to go through the stuff I’ve collected throughout the years (mostly papers/letters) that my mom wants me to go through. It’s intimidating and overwhelming as hell!
In addition to my apartment adventures, my job has been a little crazy the last couple months. Since my last Monday Musings post, I’ve gone through two bosses and am on my third! Things have been really stressful there, there are things I am noticing that I don’t like (nothing nefarious), and there are rumblings of co-workers that I get along with looking for other jobs. It’s left me wondering if maybe I should be looking for another job too. It’s a shame because I really like what I do, and it wasn’t until recently that I started jiving with the people I work with! I’m giving myself to end of the year to see if the waters settle. If things are still like they are now, I may throw my resume back out there.
All that to say…
I’m feeling disappointed in myself in my lack of blog updates (and even interacting on social media.) I’ve written some new reviews (hopefully you’ve seen them; if not, I’ll link them below,) but I haven’t uploaded many of my old reviews from my old site yet. I also have ideas for the blog that I’d like to implement, but it takes time to write them out and I just haven’t had the time! I’m hoping that once I’ve moved into the apartment and settled down, I’ll be able to focus more on the blog.
